Position Summary:
As a Retail Banking Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in retail banking. This internship is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of retail banking operations, including client relationship management, account and customer service, branch operations, documentation, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with routine customer inquiries.
- Observe and assist with account opening and customer maintenance.
- Assist with special projects.
- Filing, scanning, and organizing documentation.
- Updating customer information in internal systems.
- Support daily branch operations.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Type:
This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Typical operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. If the candidate is part-time then a schedule will be determined during the hiring process.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers.
Physical Demands:
This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
Mental Demands:
The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications (Excel and Word).
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment.
- Enrolled in college or university program or recently graduated.
