About the Role:

The Printing Intern will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our printing department, gaining hands-on experience with various printing technologies and processes. This position is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the printing industry, including pre-press preparation, machine operation, and post-print finishing tasks. The intern will collaborate closely with experienced printing professionals to understand workflow management, quality control, and maintenance of printing equipment. Through this role, the intern will develop practical skills and industry knowledge that are essential for a career in printing and graphic production. Ultimately, the Printing Intern will contribute to the efficient production of high-quality printed materials while building a strong foundation for future professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant educational program such as graphic design, printing technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of printing processes and terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Printing Press 
  • Familiarity with color management and print production workflows.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a printing or production environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues with printing machinery.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and operating printing machines under supervision to produce printed materials according to specifications.
  • Prepare print jobs by organizing files, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring correct machine settings.
  • Monitor print quality throughout the production process and report any issues to senior staff for resolution.
  • Support post-print processes such as cutting, binding, and packaging of printed products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and performing routine equipment maintenance.
