Opportunity Overview

The Software Engineering team in North Reading is looking for a Software Engineering Intern with passion for learning, developing high quality software, solving complex problems and becoming part of a smart and innovative team. Are you able to balance a variety of tasks related to requirements definition, software system design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance? Interact with multi-functional teams from the product definition stage through product release? Then you’re exactly what we’re looking for! This role has some hybrid flexibility, however, the candidate must be able to work on-site at the North Reading office.

In this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Work with experienced software engineers to design, implement, test, and deploy software components for the UltraFLEX/UltraFLEXPLus family of Automatic Test Equipment
  • Work with software verification engineers to devise, document, and execute test strategies and plans

This role will be on-site in North Reading from July/August-December.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a Computer Science minor
  • GPA of 3.5 out of 4 or higher
  • Prior Co-Op/Intern experience
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities through projects or extracurricular activities
  • Able to clearly express your ideas and concepts both written and verbally
  • Capable to object oriented software design and implementation
  • Proficient in C++, C#, and .NET development or Java
  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Experience with development tools: Visual Studio, Clearcase/Git
  • Basic analog circuit design and prior ATE experience is a plus

Compensation:
The base hourly range for this role is $25.50-$47.00. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
