Chiesi Corporate Functions

At Chiesi, the Corporate Functions serve as drive and support for the Group’s business operations. Encompassing key areas such as Global Finance, Global Procurement, Global ICT, Global Human Resources, Global Legal, Compliance & IP, and Global Communications & Public Affairs, these functions ensure consistency, efficiency, and operational integrity.

Complementing these functions, the Transformation Office is responsible for ensuring the strategic alignment of the organization. It promotes an integrated, digital, and customer-centric approach, supporting growth, efficiency, and value creation in an increasingly data-driven world. The Transformation Office ensures coherence between vision and execution, acting as a catalyst for change across the entire organization.

The Strategy, Sustainability & Growth Department is also part of the Corporate Functions. It includes areas such as Global Strategy, SV&S and Business Development, Competitive Intelligence, and other key capabilities. It is accountable for defining the ‘One Chiesi’ Strategy and allocating resources to create long-term, sustainable, shared value for the Group and its stakeholders.

 

Who we are looking for

Purpose

The Legal Intern will support the Legal R&D, Staff & Insurance team in the day-to-day management of contractual activities and legal support for Staff Functions, Sustainability, Chiesi Foundation, and Insurance. The role involves contributing to the drafting, review, and monitoring of legal documents in line with internal procedures and the Group's values.

Main Activities

• Assist in the management of various types of agreements (e.g. Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, SaaS Agreements), including drafting, reviewing, and supporting negotiations.
• Support the internal donation and sponsorship processes, ensuring alignment with internal procedures.
• Provide legal support to Staff Functions, SV&S, and Chiesi Foundation, including the possibility to draft operational legal notes and ensure legal compliance across corporate initiatives.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
• Assist in the management of intercompany agreements, including the preparation and review of standard contracts.
• Support insurance-related activities, including data collection and document handling in collaboration with the insurance team.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on labor law topics to support Staff functions.

Education

Law degree, preferably with a focus on civil law, labor law, or third sector regulations.

Strong interest in commercial contracts and legal matters related to non-profit organization.

Languages

Excellent command of written and spoken Italian.
Full professional proficiency in English (C1 level); fluency in a third language is a plus.

Technical Skills

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to work with contract management tools.
