Finance Intern

<div>The Lendsqr Finance and Operations team is looking for responsible, young and exceptional candidates for the back-office operations which includes but is not limited to settlement, reconciliation, bank and payment partner relationships.</div><div><br></div><div>Lendsqr is currently in the process of establishing itself in various countries. However at the moment, whilst we work remotely, we are only able to hire employees resident in Nigeria to ensure effective employee management.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Reconcile payments and transactions to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct positions</li><li>Perform all required general ledger reconciliations</li><li>Keep accurate records of all daily transactions using the ERP</li><li>Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating and posting accounts receivable data</li><li>Ensure customer pay-outs are rightly matched to client’s profile</li><li>Provide support in month-end performance reporting</li><li>Provide support to the accountant, external auditors and tax consultants by ensuring timely, organized and accurate compilation of required documents for financial statements audits and/or tax audits</li><li>Ensure all withholding tax, VAT and other taxes are withheld and remitted to relevant tax authorities on a monthly basis.</li><li>Carryout other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Finance Manager</li></ul><div><br><strong>Requirement</strong></div><ul><li>Recent university graduate with or without NYSC experience</li><li>Minimum of 2:1 from Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or any other related field</li><li>Not more than 23 years old at the last birthday</li><li>Has strong interest in fintech and wants to develop a career in that space</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Competencies/Skills</strong></div><ul><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>The ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Process-driven and deadline-oriented</li><li>Proficiency with Google Workspace</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Pay Structure</strong></div><ul><li>Base pay</li><li>Monthly data bonus</li><li>Other benefits as defined by company policy</li></ul>
