About the role:

As a Risk Analysis intern, you will support Probabilistic Risk Assessments (PRA) for nuclear power plant systems.

 

You will report to the Risk Analysis Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types
  • Review plant operating procedures, system/layout documents, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cable routes, and other material to understand plant systems and operation
  • Perform database population/management and data analysis tasks using a variety of tools
  • Perform code validation testing activities
  • Work with global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution and meeting schedule and financial goals

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Nuclear)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
