Financial Planning (Expense Management) Intern


Internship Period: 12 January 2026 – 31 July 2026
 

GCIB APAC Financial Planning team tracks and evaluates the performance of the portfolio, prioritizes and allocates resources to support the growth of the business optimally, and generates insights for management decisions.

The position is focused on the generation of insights, including but not limited to explaining historical data trends, validating strategies, and forecasting.

The incumbent will be required to:

· Provide support for in-depth business analysis of GCIB APAC expenses and headcount related matters.

· Manage and run dataset and reporting, maintain and ensure data integrity across datasets.

· Perform reconciliation of data/reports and following up on changes required

· Collaborate with other team/countries on data request and support.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is business oriented and passionate with working with large amounts of data to generate insights/build models to support decision making. Whilst not essential, this role would suit someone who has a good knowledge or interest in data systems and processes so that we can build internal tools for efficiency.

The incumbent should also be:

· Proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team

· Committed and flexible; ability to work with tight deadlines

· Analytical mind and inclination for problem solving. Enjoys working with big datasets

· Knowledge of programming language and analytical tools as well as an understanding of financial processes will be an advantage

This internship role is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only. In Singapore, MUFG internship partners include National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
