About the Role
<p><b><span class="emphasis">Job Overview</span></b></p><p></p><p>DFW International Airport provides an exceptional customer experience to our millions of annual passengers and this year, through a generous grant provided by the Spencer Educational Foundation (SEF), we are able to provide a summer internship to experience the work we do behind the scenes in our Risk Management Department.</p><p>As a <b>Risk Management</b> summer intern, you will work as an internal consultant where you will directly impact the airport's safety and compliance. You will experience and learn from our comprehensive enterprise risk management program which is run on a professional consulting firm model.</p><p></p><p><b><b>What you will be doing:</b></b></p><ul><li><p>Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff.</p></li><li><p>Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in the application of academic skills toward the solution of business problems.</p></li><li><p>Participate in project work assisting department professionals developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, or <span>developing/evaluating</span> performance measures.</p></li><li><p>May compile business or operational data; assist in forecasting activity levels; assist in developing business solutions to department or organizational problems.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>What you need:</b></b></p><ul><li><p>Must be an active student in a Bachelor's degree program for Risk Management, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or related Business Administration programs.</p></li><li><p>18 years of age or older.</p></li><li><p>Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited college or university.</p></li><li><p>60 hours or undergraduate course credit completed by May 2025.</p></li><li><p>A copy of current transcript for approval by the Spencer Educational Foundation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>What we desire:</b></b></p><ul><li><p>Enrolled at one of the following universities (University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma)</p></li><li><p>Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited college or university.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
