Tenstorrent is looking for a curious, hands-on engineering intern to join our team in Toronto for a 16-month opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who wants to explore multiple engineering disciplines—firmware, system software, hardware, and more—while working on real-world problems in AI and high-performance computing. Interns are paired with mentors and encouraged to rotate between teams to expand their skill sets.

This role is, based out of Toronto and a 16 month experience. 

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about computer architecture, ASIC design, and system-level thinking.
  • Comfortable coding in Python, C, or C++, with solid debugging and scripting abilities.
  • Interested in machine learning concepts and familiar with ML frameworks.
  • A strong communicator with analytical thinking and a willingness to learn fast.

What We Need:

  • Help develop and maintain firmware and BIOS for next-gen AI hardware.
  • Contribute to performance and power validation of our chips and systems.
  • Support pre- and post-silicon bring-up and system debug.
  • Benchmark and analyze ML workloads across the full Tenstorrent stack.

What You Will Learn:

  • Best practices in silicon bring-up, testing, and performance tuning.
  • Automation techniques for post-silicon verification and debugging.
  • Cross-functional teamwork across firmware, hardware, and software domains.
