An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Rocanville site beginning May 2026 for a 8-month term, with a possibility of extension for up to 16-months. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.

 

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Technical Services, Mine Operations, and Mine Maintenance teams.
  • Complete tasks in support of mine operations in various capacities, including: Mine design, planning and scheduling; ventilation support; and geotechnical support.
  • Other duties include: mine project work, identify operational, capital and business improvement requirements, and constraints to execute mine development and production activities to ensure safe, reliable, sustainable, low cost production at Nutrien Rocanville Potash.

 

What you will bring:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and knowledge of other mining related software would be an asset.
  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent in Geological/Mine Engineering or Geology.
  • Previous experience in mining, underground mining and potash mining in particular would be an asset.
