The Bermuda intern will have the opportunity to work with the Actuarial or Finance team, gaining experience working in the reinsurance business.</p> <p>The intern will have opportunity to work with one of the following teams:</p> <ul> <li>Actuarial – Modelling</li> <li>Actuarial – Valuation</li> <li>Finance</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p><em><u>Responsibilities will vary, but may include the following:</u></em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Support quarter-end close processes</li> <li>Assist with analysis related to Best Estimate Liability (BEL) or Embedded Value (EV)</li> <li>Work with modelling software such as MG-ALFA and MG-Integrate to generate liability cashflows and/or perform ALM runs for BEL and EV</li> <li>Help build tools to streamline workflows using data process software such as Excel and Python</li> <li>Work with data visualization software such as Power BI to improve analytics</li> <li>Produce documentation for internal and audit reference</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights</li> <li>Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders</li> <li>Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program for actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, or a related field; with expected graduation in 2027</li> <li>Completion of an actuarial exam preferred, if applying for an actuarial role</li> <li>Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel</li> <li>Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, VBA) preferred</li> <li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills</li> <li>Ability and willingness to take ownership of projects</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment</li> <li>Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span data-contrast="none"><span class="EOP SCXW19499552 BCX8" data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559739&quot;:0}">#LI-JL</span></span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="https://gafg.widen.net/s/mwznlnh28n/ga-privacy-statement" target="_blank">Privacy Statement</a></span></p> <p>Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes.
