<p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Optiver is looking for a motivated and driven intern with a strong research background to join our high-performing Compliance Team. As the Compliance Intern, you will apply a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills to support the key functions and success of our Compliance Team. </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Research relevant rules and regulations and draft memos for review by senior Compliance Team members.</li>
<li>Develop a deep understanding of our Compliance Team’s objectives and functions, providing strong support for numerous ongoing initiatives.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing Compliance memos covering various regulatory topics to be issued to Trading and general Optiver employees.</li>
<li>Attend industry-relevant webinars and take notes to share with the Compliance Team.</li>
<li>Assist with regulatory exams and audits.</li>
<li>Review and clarify proposed industry rules for applicability, as well as relevant industry disciplinary actions.</li>
<li>Facilitate rule interpretation, continuing education, and best business practices through training sessions.</li>
<li>Manage form filings, securities registration/licensing, and SRO Exchange registration using the FINRA Web CRD portal.</li>
<li>Draft personal trading authorization letters for Optiver employees.</li>
<li>Learn and understand the functions performed by the various teams, such as Trading, Technology and Operations.</li>
<li>Assist in the onboarding of new employees</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Rising 2L or rising 3L</li>
<li>Self-motivation – you will manage and prioritize multiple, on-going projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment</li>
<li>Excellent eye for detail and high level of integrity</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office - strong capabilities in Word, Excel & PowerPoint</li>
<li>Strong time management skills with an emphasis on follow-through</li>
<li>Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening.</li>

<p><em>Below is the expected compensation for this position. This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale and sign-on bonus for this position and offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process.
