Job Summary

Expand Energy is interviewing for a full-time summer Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory internship position in our HSER Department.  An ideal candidate will be pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in occupational safety management,  industrial safety, or occupational safety & health. Successful candidates will be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, business driven environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the HSER team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of EXE HSER programs, ensuring compliance with ederal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Provide HSER support for designated projects as directed by HSE supervisor
  • Understand company HSER metrics and provide recommendations to optimize performance
  • Learn to identify, understand, and mitigate hazards and  exposures associated with daily field operations that may impact organizational objectives
  • Lead and/or participate in daily, weekly and monthly safety meetings
  • Participate in emergency response planning, training and drills
  • Participate in Industrial Hygiene testing and worker exposure monitoring
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical documents including but not limited to Health, Safety and Environmental standards, procedures, programs, Safety Alerts, and guidance documents
  • Participate in EXE internship activities and meetings
  • Participate in field activities to promote HSER programs and practices
  • At the end of the internship make a presentation to the HSER Leadership Team on the internship experience and assigned project summary

  • Effectively manages time and prioritize projects  to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of  Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to learn company specific applications  

Education

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or master degree in Occupational Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety & Health or related engineering field
    • Graduating in December 2026 or later
      •    3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) GPA or equivalent and active in school or discipline specific organizations

Additional Qualifications

•   Must possess a valid drivers license
