About the Role

About our group:

We are a team of Seagate Drive Factory MES (Manufacturing Execution System) developers based in China.  Our team provides solutions including software architecture /design and application development. The applications and services are deployed in China, Thailand, Singapore and US.

About the role - you will:

• Work closely with our MES development team to develop in-house applications and support worldwide users.
• Participating in data-related technical issues.
• Participating in software testing and function enhancement to ensure data accuracy and data quality, format verification etc.

About you:

• Master's degree in computer science, IT or similar field. Ph.D. a plus
• Good learning ability and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Excellent systematic logical analysis and troubleshooting ability.
• Competency of teamwork, self-learning and self-motivation.

Your experience includes:

•    Knowledge of programming language, Python or Java, Java is preferred.
•    Knowledge of Big Data ecosystem, including but not limited to technologies such as Apache Spark, Trino, K8S, Object Storage.
•    Hands-on experience of databases, understanding SQL or NoSQL databases.
•    Hands-on experience of web application development.
•    Understanding software testing processes and methods.

Location:

Located in the high technology district, our site in Wuxi is a global manufacturing hub, where more than 4,000 employees deliver technical services, customer test, manufacturing and support capabilities.
