About the role:

As a Safety Analysis Intern, you will support the Safety Analysis group.

 

You will report to the Safety Analysis Manager and be located at our Etna facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use software packages such as Python, Mathcad, Matlab, ANSYS or equivalent
  • Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor designs and develop technical documentation and presentations related to these calculations and analyses
  • Working with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
  • Evaluate standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, or chemical engineering required
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Interest and skills related to thermal hydraulics and heat transfer
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
