About the role:

As an AP1000 Delivery Stream Engineering intern, you will verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery.

You will report to the Global AP1000 Delivery Stream WBS Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time hybrid summer position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and down selection
  • You will create request for Quotation (RFQ) package
  • Create the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule
  • Coordinate Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points
  • Schedule and support pre-job briefs and kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities
  • Ensure the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) has been completed to support shipment

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Complete Sophomore year of college

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
