We offer you the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into professional practice as an automotive UI/UX developer at our globally successful company, allowing you to supplement your theoretical knowledge alongside experienced specialists. We will prepare you for your future career and enable you to gain cross-functional contacts with experts from various departments at IAV and develop your skills by working on the development of modern vehicle display systems.
The TV-I84 - Infotainment Systems and Functions - team at IAV focuses on HMI development along the V-model. From vehicle-related UI/UX concepts, through their specification, SW development coordination, test coordination, and error management, to series release, you will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in all aspects of a modern, agile automotive SW development process. In addition to coordinating with numerous project participants, working on the vehicle or test rig will also be an important part of your job.

Your Tasks:

  • You will assist in the creation and coordination of HMI concepts with customers, functional managers, designers, and suppliers.
  • You will create and maintain HMI specifications, work packages, and other development assets.
  • You will test software deliveries on vehicles and test rigs and coordinate error management.
  • You will create project documentation and reports.

Necessary Skills:

  • Current studies in computer science, media, human factors, or a comparable field of study
  • Experience in the automotive environment, ideally in the area of infotainment and connected cars
  • Proficiency in at least one common HMI development tool (Figma, Axure, etc.)
  • Confident use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Good communication skills in German and English (at least C1 level) 

Desired Skills:

  • Enthusiasm for complex issues and their presentation, as well as clear preparation
  • Application of agile processes (according to SAFe) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • High degree of initiative, open-mindedness, and ability to work in a team

 

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current hourly wage for this position is EUR 17.52. The internship is remunerated with a monthly salary of EUR 979.00.
