About the role:

As a Instrumentation & Control System intern, you will help develop a system design for I&C systems based on functional requirements, design requirements and regulatory requirements.

You will report to the Advanced Reactors I&C Manager and be located at our Etna location. This is a paid full-time hybrid summer position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal departments and partners to ensure integration of the I&C system
  • Create functional logic diagrams
  • Support customer offer development for I&C system projects
  • Support Equipment Qualification (EMC, Environmental, Seismic) of an internally developed I&C platform
  • Provide guidance to hardware design engineers to develop the hardware design of the I&C system
  • Provide guidance to software design engineers to develop the software of the I&C system
  • Develop test plan and procedure documentation; implement testing based on project needs
  • Help engineer review of system and FPGA documentation
  • Support board-level design, functional testing, and integration testing
  • Help with application development based on system functional and design requirements specifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (with a focus/minor in Computer Science)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Complete Sophomore year of college
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, C++, Java, Python and embedded software
  • Experience with Digital Circuit Design

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
