About the role:

As a Civil/Structural Engineering intern, you will support of civil / structural design activities which include calculation creation in the area of structural steel or concrete design.

 

You will report to the Structural Steal Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs.
  • Help address technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural project. This includes technical justification of design changes and troubleshooting of emergent technical issues
  • Gain familiarity with analytical tools such as GT STRUDL and ANSYS
  • Become familiar with applicable industry civil/structural codes and (such as ACI, AISC, AWS) standards and company procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or structural engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
