About the role:

As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will perform a variety of technical and engineering assignments for Engineering and Technology Group including design, drafting, and implementation of electrical, instrumentation and controls projects (Capital, Expense, Development) under the guidance of engineers.

You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at our Ogden location. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop electrical 1-line diagram, power plan, electrical schematics and cable and conduit schedules
  • Learn and develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Learn and develop 2D drawings using AutoCAD software
  • Perform inspection and verification of field conditions with 1-line and P&ID drawings.
  • Get familiar with National Electrical Code and ISA standards
  • Work with a team including multidiscipline drafters and engineers

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Experience in AutoCAD 2D
  • EIT certificate (FE exam)
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
