Purpose of Role

The Sustainability Rookie will be based at Under Armour’s APAC headquarters, collaborating closely with the Sustainability Team and suppliers to help advance UA’s sustainability objectives. This role provides hands-on experience in assessing supplier sustainability performance, validating data for the Supplier Assessment Program, supporting Supply Chain Worker Care initiatives, and fulfilling external industry reporting requirements.

You will have opportunities to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders—including suppliers, internal teams, industry partners, and peer companies—to drive sustainability efforts. You will gain valuable insights into the implementation and promotion of social sustainability within the apparel and sports industry. 

Your Impact

  • Assist in the implementation of Supply Chain Worker Care Programs, including but not limited to Worker Voice, WeCare+, and Digital Trainings, by coordinating with suppliers and service providers to execute activities and monitor progress against KPIs.
  • Perform data analysis using information collected from Worker Voice and digital training dashboards and portals to generate insights and support reporting.
  • Maintain and update program guidebooks to ensure alignment with current practices and standards.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and market trends related to employee wellbeing and gender empowerment, and contribute to the development of guidance documents.
  • Support the tracking of vendor sustainability performance and assist in preparing presentation materials for semi-annual business review meetings.
  • Help manage and troubleshoot auditing and remediation platforms, ensuring smooth operation and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Currently as a Year 2 or above undergraduate student, pursuing a degree in Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Governance, or Environmental Management.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, with experience using Excel, Tableau, or other data management and visualization tools considered an advantage.
  • Prior internship experience in sustainability-related roles; experience in the garment or manufacturing sector is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking, an open-minded attitude, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

Workplace Location

  • Location: Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong
  • Work Schedule: Fully in office

 

Base Compensation

  • HKD 70 per hour.
  • The role requires to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
