About the role:

As an Auxiliary Equipment & Valve Engineering intern, you will work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering. You will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the development of technical products and systems. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop your engineering skills.

You will report to the Auxiliary Equipment & Valve Engineering Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time, hybrid summer position.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of engineering work to support design and construction of mechanical power plant equipment, components, systems, for mega-projects or advanced reactors
  • Develop pump, valve, heat exchanger, or other equipment design requirements for new plant build or modifications
  • Identify problems and propose solutions to projects and tasks that are assigned
  • Support more senior engineering personnel in several design and analysis efforts
  • Make sound technical evaluations to support critical engineering decisions

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, or materials engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
