About the Role

Position Summary:

Performs duties as assigned in support of department specific functions in an automotive manufacturing environment to gain supervised practical experience and develop on-the-job skills. Works in a general support role, learns the complexities of HMMA business functions, manufacturing systems, and delivery of quality vehicles for customer satisfaction. Acquires technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking competencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform operational and administrative functions and provide technical support for assigned department
  • Obtain and assemble information for use by the department
  • Attend and participate in learning opportunities such as training, meetings, or conferences offered by the department
  • Practice applying knowledge acquired in the classroom to real world business situations
  • Develop, research, and complete a project developed to meet the needs and goals of the assigned department.
  • Present final project to assigned department and Human Resources.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited college/university with Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
  • 3.0 - 4.0 cumulative grade point average

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
