As an intern in our Inventory Management Department, you will be given specific projects to complete throughout the summer within your department and the results of your projects will have a direct impact on our company. Here’s an example a recent project our interns have worked on:

  • Analyze the impact of backorders, inventory levels and BOSFS (Buy Online Ship From Store) on sales

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend relevant meetings that will drive work
  • Work with various cross-functional partners on key projects
  • Analytical work in excel

Qualifications: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university degree program; Strong preference will be given to rising Juniors, Seniors, and graduating Seniors 
  • Passion for retail combined with a strong desire to represent the L.L.Bean brand
  • Strong analytical, research, and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work where needed during the internship experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data and presenting findings, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Curiosity, grit and a growth mindset
