This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>Wing is looking for a<strong> Hardware Reliability Engineer Intern </strong>to join our <strong>Hardware Reliability</strong> team based in <strong>Palo Alto, CA</strong>.&nbsp; Our team evaluates the reliability and durability of our hardware, develops new tests, and performs failure analysis to constantly improve the robustness and reliability of our drone and ground infrastructure.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate the durability of a hardware component, including developing tests, collecting and analyzing data, assessing failure modes, and recommending potential design improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Need:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027</li> <li>Comfortable with hands-on work in a lab, such as hardware testing and failure inspection</li> <li>Able to construct and follow a detailed hardware test plan</li> <li>Familiarity with tools to acquire, log, and analyze data (e.g. temperature, force, current, voltage)</li> <li>Ability to work independently to investigate issues and communicate findings to cross-functional teams</li> <li>Completed an introductory statistics course or equivalent</li> <li>Experience debugging, troubleshooting, or investigating hardware failures</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is your chance to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Help bring drone delivery to fruition!</li> <li>Gain valuable hands on experience working with technology on the forefront of a rapidly growing industry</li> <li>Be part of a diverse team of passionate people at a company backed by Alphabet</li> <li>Break cutting edge technology!
