Factory Data Collection Engineering Intern

About our group:

We are seeking a Factory Data Collection Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that collect, monitor, and analyze production and operational data within the factory environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, problemsolving
skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to improve ef f iciency, quality, and decision-making through accurate data collection.

About the role - you will:

A Global Factory Information Technology (GFIT) is a structured system (sof tware + hardware + processes) used in manufacturing environments to collect, store, manage, and distribute information related to production, operations, and performance.

About you:

• Operations Control: Track production progress, downtime, and throughput.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor defects, rework, and yield rates.
• Maintenance: Enable predictive or preventive maintenance by analyzing machine performance.
• Performance Management: Provide KPIs like OEE, lead time, scrap rate, utilization.

Your experience includes:

• Have a background in engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related f ield.
• Experience with data collection systems, industrial automation, or IoT devices in a manufacturing
environment.
• Prof iciency in SQL, Python, or other data processing tools.
• Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SCADA systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, sensors, and data communication protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
