This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p>Wing is looking for a <strong>Manufacture Process Engineer </strong><strong> Intern </strong>to join our <strong>Manufacturing Process / Lab team </strong> based in <strong>Palo Alto, CA</strong>.&nbsp; Our team is responsible for the development and deployment of manufacturing lines dedicated to the production of Wing's operational drones. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with our manufacturing lab team and cross-functional teams to contribute to the following projects:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Laboratory assembly process automation</strong></li> <li> <ul> <li>Develop an automated assembly process to enhance existing laboratory assembly procedures.</li> <li>Improve the assembly process by optimizing cycle time and yield rate.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Documentation:</strong>&nbsp; <ul> <li>Create and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), test plans, and design specifications for automation solutions.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong> <ul> <li>Perform process analysis (i.e. cycle time, FPY) in order to identify bottlenecks</li> <li>Perform root cause analysis and develop countermeasures</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Need:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027</li> <li>Proficient in SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software</li> <li>Project experience with at least one relevant programming/scripting language (Python, C++).</li> <li>Proficiency in practical laboratory procedures, including hardware testing and comprehensive failure analysis.</li> <li>Strong problem solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work in a collaborative team with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is your chance to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Gain valuable experience to jumpstart your career in the innovation industry and autonomous drone delivery industry.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Experience in developing process flow diagrams, SOPs, and DOEs</li> <li>Passion for aviation, drones, or related technologies</li> <li>Knowledge in GD&amp;T and datum precedence rule</li> <li>Familiarity with statistics and Cpk analysis</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The US base salary range for this internship position is the salary range below + benefits.
