About the Role

Making Waves Education Foundation has partnered with Dega Systems to support the hiring and placement of IT interns.


Reporting To: 

Operations Manager, Dega Systems

Proposed Weekly Schedule: 

15 - 20 hours/week; minimum 3 days/week, 4+ hours/day; Expected start date in December 2025/January 2026 


About This Position: 

Gain experience in operations, client success, finance, compliance, and marketing within a Managed Services Provider, focusing on nonprofits. The internship combines hands-on documentation, process improvement, and exposure to service coordination and client communication. Making Waves Education Foundation is assisting Dega Systems with hiring for this internship.

We will begin reviewing applications as early as November 7, 2025. 



What You’ll Do: 

  • Shadow Operations Manager on cross-departmental service delivery 
  • Assist with workflow documentation and process optimization 
  • Join Service Coordinator meetings, help with scheduling and resource allocation 
  • Track compliance activities: SOC2, audit prep, policy updates 
  • Prepare and analyze client satisfaction surveys, business review materials 
  • Draft status reports, knowledge updates, client newsletters 
  • Maintain CRM data for renewals, referrals, and case studies 
  • Shadow account managers during client calls 
  • Support research for pricing models, KPIs, and vendor procurement 
  • Assist with RFP/proposal formatting, marketing content creation 
  • Produce at least one client-facing document (newsletter, case study, etc.) 
  • Complete a business/process improvement project 
  • Participate in weekly business credential coursework (Microsoft Office Specialist, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)

  • Dega Systems may sponsor credentialing exam fees for relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft training) for high performing interns.

  • Experience/coursework in business or communications is a plus 
  • Self-motivated and able to progress through training content with minimal supervision 
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
