ABOUT FRISCO BOWL The Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl is an annual college bowl game played in Frisco, Texas at Toyota Stadium. The bowl game is owned and operated by ESPN Events, a division of ESPN, and is affiliated with all Group of Five conferences. The Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl will air live on ESPN December 17, 2024 from Toyota Stadium. Toyota Stadium is the home of the MLS team FC Dallas and host to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Championship since 2010. It has a capacity of 17,200. MISSION The Frisco Bowl’s mission is to deliver the highest quality post season college football experience for our student-athletes, teams, fans, attendees, and stakeholders, while showcasing the positive sports-centric climate of the community.

2026 MLS Season Intern


The Sports Performance Intern supports the daily sport science and performance operations for FC

Dallas first-team players. This role assists with GPS monitoring, performance testing, field

set up, and real-time training support. The intern will gain hands-on experience within a

professional high-performance environment while helping ensure efficient training flow,

accurate data collection, and athlete readiness.

Pay is $8.00 per hour & Non-Negotiable.

What you’ll do:

 

  • GPS & Athlete Monitoring:
    • Assist with daily GPS operations: Unit distribution, syncing, charging, and basic data checks.
    • Help collect and organize GPS metrics.
    • Support the Head of Performance with basic reporting and data management.
  • Performance Testing:
    • Assist with speed testing, jump testing, and routine fitness assessments.
    • Help operate timing gates, jump mats, and other performance tools under supervision.
    • Contribute to maintaining player testing logs and performance databases.
  • Field Setup & Organization:
    • Prepare training field equipment (GPS units, warm-up tools).
    • Support S&C and performance staff with setup and breakdown before and after training.
    • Ensure clean, organized, and professional on-field workspaces.
  • Training Support & Live Assistance:
    • Provide on-field support during training sessions as directed by performance staff.
    • Assist with hydration setup, recovery stations, and session logistics.
    • Observe and learn how real-time load information is used to guide session demands.

 Qualifications:

  • Must be pursing or holding a Bachelor’s in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with GPS systems (Catapult, STATSports, or similar).
  • Required to be fully vaccinated prior to start date with FC Dallas.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment, including morning sessions, and occasional irregular hours.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sports performance training.
  • Knowledge of Major League Soccer and FC Dallas.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in collegiate or professional sports settings.
  • Basic skills in performance analysis or data visualization (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Interest in pursuing a career in sports sciences, S&C, or a high-performance sport.
