Job Summary:

TCC Group Companies is a leading manufacturer of architectural and concrete specialty products, which include concrete masonry block, concrete repair products, precast, architectural stone, mortars and grout, and hardscape landscaping products. What You’ll Do:

Support multi-plant manufacturing operations through hands-on projects to improve safety, efficiency and cost savings. Working under the guidance of the Regional Operations Manager, the intern will gather and analyze operational data, map key processes, and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and key performance indicators across all facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety audits and assist with risk assessments and safety reviews.

  • Document and standardize operating procedures across all plants.

  • Perform time studies and identify opportunities for cycle time reduction.

  • Track and analyze material usage and waste to identify reduction strategies.

  • Assist in developing standard cost models for various production and warehouse processes.

  • Evaluate inbound raw material suppliers and logistics performance.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Present findings and recommendations to the TCC and Cemstone Executive team at the program conclusion.

  • Perform all tasks with great attention to detail, proper formatting, and correct grammar.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by TCC Materials Management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Must have strong communication ability and solid interpersonal/networking skills.

  • Must be self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work successfully without close supervision.

  • Must be able to multi-task in an accurate and timely manner with superior time management skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, suppliers, and other employees of the organization.

  • Evidence of leadership and professionalism.

  • Knowledge/experience in the commercial and residential construction materials industry.

  • Working knowledge of PC Window’s environment including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, computer literate with the ability to analyze and manage data.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
