About the Role

Your tasks:

 

The three-year apprenticeship includes the final examination to become a merchant in business administration, wholesale and foreign trade - specialising in the latter - before the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce as well as the additional examination for graduates in business administration in foreign trade. For this reason, it represents an excellent alternative to studying business management at university.

The theoretical part of the apprenticeship takes place within a day and evening studies at the "Institute for Foreign Trade" in Hamburg and includes a two-week certificate course at the "European College of Business and Management" in London.

The main task of the practical part of the training is to acquire knowledge in the international purchase and sale of chemical raw materials and active pharmaceutical substances. In addition to commercial expertise, the students will also be trained in open-mindedness, leadership skills, negotiation skills and organizational skills.

For an apprenticeship in our company you have the following qualifications:

  • A-levels
  • good German and English language skills and at least basic knowledge of one other foreign language
  • basic mathematical understanding
  • Interest in commercial issues
  • team capability, strong communication skills and being open-minded
