Tenstorrent is seeking a highly motivated MS/PhD candidate with a strong background in computer architecture and experience in CPU design to join our AI Architecture team as an Intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI architecture research and contribute to the development of next-generation AI accelerator designs.

This role is on-site based in Boston, MA or Toronto, ON.
Tenstorrent will support the acquisition of a J1 Visa to enable your PEY in the USA.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the research and design of AI accelerator architectures.
  • Collaborate with a team of architects and engineers to define and develop new AI features.
  • Analyze the performance of AI designs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of simulation models to evaluate new architecture ideas.
  • Present results and findings to the team and management.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an AI/ML focused Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, digital logic design, and semiconductor device physics.
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
  • Exposure to industry-standard EDA tools such as Synopsys or Cadence.
  • Some experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
 
 

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
