As a DPS intern, you will have the opportunity to work with various departments and observing various activities that are crucial to the safety of our passengers, employees, contractors, and our general public. Apply today! </p><p></p><p><span class="emphasis"><b>What you will be doing:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Prepare and/or present written, oral, and electronic presentations to management staff.</p></li><li><p>Participate in a variety of professional development activities providing practical experience in the application of academic skills toward the solution of business problems.</p></li><li><p>Participate in project work assisting department professionals developing procedures, performing financial, operational, or business analysis, or developing/evaluating performance measures.</p></li><li><p>May compile business or operational data; assist in forecasting activity levels; assist in developing business solutions to department or organizational problems.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span class="emphasis"><b>What you need:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Must be an active student in a bachelor's degree program with an emphasis on criminal justice, emergency management and homeland security, fire science, law enforcement, or public safety administration.</p></li><li><p>18 years of age or older.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span class="emphasis"><b>What we desire:</b></span></p><ul><li><p>Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from one of the following universities (University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, University of Oklahoma, or Sam Houston State University)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><i>We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
