About the Role

Overview of Role

Internship Project on Transistor Device Research, under mentorship of TSMC Corporate Research Exploratory Materials and Device team, and in collaboration with leading university research groups. Seeking candidates willing to intern for at least 6 months to contribute to one or more projects, working along side TSMC corporate research staff.

 

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate transistors on exploratory channel materials in a cleanroom setting
  • Characterize channel materials and analyze electrical transistor performance
  • Work with multifunctional teams which include expertise in device, materials, and characterization
  • Engage with university collaborators on exploratory research topics
  • Convert results of innovative works into patents and publications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Progress towards PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering/Chemistry
  • Solid background in experimental research on transistor materials and device

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in transistor fabrication and characterization
  • Strong publication track record in leading conference and journals
