<p>The New York Times is looking for an ambitious & highly motivated Human Resources Intern with strong organizational and communication skills. This role will support the HR Business Partner team which is responsible for supporting the overall employee experience employee relations and policy. You will report into the Senior Manager, HRBP for Technology.</p>
<p><strong>About Our Summer Internships</strong><strong><br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>The duration is 10 weeks long, starting on June 1, 2026.</li>
<li>The rate of pay for this role is $20.00 per hour.</li>
<li>Interns work 35 hours per week.</li>
<li>Hybrid work based in New York.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Help create and standardize </strong>central HRBP resources and documentation by assisting in the creation of an HRBP playbook to ensure accuracy and consistency across the team in our processes and HRBP practices, such as offboarding procedures, and employee welcome communications. </li>
<li><strong>Organize</strong> and <strong>restructure </strong>shared folders (e.g., Google Drive) to improve resource accessibility and support the onboarding of new HR team members.</li>
<li><strong>Conduct research and analysis </strong>on trends, best practices, and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation around manager development, recognition, and retention practices. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree program with interest in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field</li>
<li>Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, skilled in Google presentation design and building project plans</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Internship or professional experience on a HR team</li>
<li>A willingness to take ownership of tasks, seek out solutions, be open to feedback, and adjust quickly to changing projects and priorities. </li>
<li>The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects efficiently.</li>
</ul>
