Internship Description:

Develop a Human Resources People Analytics project that leads to the creation of a prescriptive model designed to support strategic talent-management decision-making. This initiative will be carried out through the analysis of employee data, the identification of trends in key areas such as performance, turnover, and personnel costs, the application of data-modeling techniques, and the development of visualizations that facilitate the optimal delivery and interpretation of information.

 

Challenges for the student:

  • Apply data transformation and analysis techniques in a real business environment.
  • Learn about key HR indicators (talent KPIs, turnover, organizational climate).
  • Develop skills in the use of visualization tools and databases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present results to organizational leaders.
  • Understand the importance of privacy and ethics in handling personal data.

 

Main responsibilities and activities:

  • Collect, clean, and transform employee data from various internal sources.
  • Analyze information related to performance, absenteeism, turnover, satisfaction, and more.
  • Create dashboards and automated reports in platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Present findings and recommendations to HR and area leaders.
  • Document processes and ensure the quality of the data used.

 

Specific requirements, technical and soft skills:

Data Management and ETL

  • Collection, cleaning, and transformation of data from various internal sources.
  • Proficiency with database tools (SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience with ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load).

 

Data Modeling and Analysis

  • Knowledge of statistics and machine learning (logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, XGBoost, etc.).
  • Selection and evaluation of relevant variables for predicting resignations.
  • Validation and tuning of predictive models.

 

Visualization and Communication

  • Development of dashboards and automated reports using platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
