About the role:

As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will report to the Engineering Supervisor and be located at our Shoreview facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Electrical Calculations: Conduct electrical load and heat dissipation calculations using Mathcad to support design accuracy and compliance
  • Update Standard Component Database: Maintain the electrical standard parts list, including components such as power supplies, relays, motor drives, circuit breakers, and fuses
  • Organize Vendor Documentation: Standardize and organize vendor literature according to the approved standard parts list for easy reference and consistency
  • Standardize Cable Specifications: Update cable lists to ensure compliance with IEEE standards and internal guidelines
  • Help with Drafting Activities: Support project drafting tasks using AutoCAD, ensuring adherence to design requirements
  • Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO): Contribute to the development and drafting of ECO packages to facilitate project updates and modifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
