About the Role

Job Overview:  

This role will be part of our Internal Audit team. As part of your internship, you will gain experience in supporting internal audit projects of various types, including financial, SOX, compliance, IT, and special projects, as well as internal/departmental continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oil-Dri invites you to apply for a position in our internship program with the Internal Audit Department. Our internship program is designed to provide you with positive work/training experience and challenging objectives that are consistent with your career goals and current level of education.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in project planning activities, including gathering, reviewing, and interpreting data, interviewing key stakeholders to determine the scope of audit procedures
  • Assist in performing audit testing procedures, including attribute-based controls, and financial substantive testing, through various means – inspection, observation, and re-performance
  • Assist in documentation of testing results, and drafting of final report / deliverables
  • Assist in performing direct assistance to the annual external audit, including physical inventory verification procedures
  • Support continuous improvement teams in creating automated tools, templates and other means of increasing efficiency and productivity
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate (Junior or Senior standing) or Master’s degree student, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, IT, or a related field.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Bi, and SharePoint).  
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Core Competencies: Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability.
  • Additional Skills: Attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

 

Compensation:

  • $18 - 22/hour (dependent on academic year)
