About the Role

Job Title: Associate,Information System Security Engineering (Information System Security)

Job Location: Waco, TX

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineering Intern. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, with a focus on the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with the RMF process used throughout the DoD. If you are a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a passion for cybersecurity, we encourage you to apply and join our team in safeguarding our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Cybersecurity Requirements: Collaborate with ISSEs to identify protection needs for systems, software, and networks. Document security controls/requirements for inclusion in the system requirements specifications.
  • Support Cybersecurity Design: Assist system engineers in overarching system design with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Support Creation of Cybersecurity Body of Evidence: Create and review System Security Plans (SSPs), System/Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Network and Dataflow Drawings.
  • Support Cybersecurity Verification/Test: Verify security control implementation through development and execution of Cybersecurity Test Plans/Procedures and use of System Scanning Tools.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
