INTERNSHIP PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
The 2026 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering both Corporate and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides realworld experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Merchandising intern will be responsible for assisting in brand management tasks, analyzing sales and understanding overall company and category strategies. A love for creativity, beauty and collaboration will be at the heart of all intern tasks. As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:
• Brand Management:
o Support lead merchant on all things pertaining to merchant/brand partner relationship
o Attend status calls with brands
o Develop Ulta-specific strategies to differentiate brands’ presence in the market
o Work on in-store shelf presentation
o Attend market meetings
• Sales Reporting:
o Assist lead merchant with weekly reporting needs
o Analyze beauty category data to make informed business decisions
o Review key Ulta Beauty success metrics (productivity, turn, sales, etc.) and work collaboratively with the merchant team to make improvements
• Print Advertising:
o Work with merchants to develop thematic layouts for allocated print ad space
o Communicate with vendors to secure samples for advertising
o Review proofs prior to printing
• In-Store Merchandising:
o Collaborate creatively on in-store secondary presentation plans in conjunction with merchant team
o Coordinate sample turn-in
• Competitive Landscape Tracking:
o Create periodic social trend reports to share with the merchandising team
o Monitor online promotions with brands direct websites and competitor websites
• Body Mist Strategy Project:
o Help the team with the influx of brands wanting to play in the body mist space, by assisting with trend
reporting to determine who has a right to win in the space
o Help lead merchant with overall in-store merchandising strategy of the body mist space
REQUIREMENTS:
• Intern must be local to Bolingbrook, IL to attend corporate weeks.
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2026.
• Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with SAP/PIM a plus.
The pay range for this position is $0.00 - $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
