INTERNSHIP PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

The 2026 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering both Corporate and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development.

The internship program provides real world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

• Hands-on experience working as a member of a specific department and team.

• Assigned projects to accelerate learning of key functions and processes. 

Cross-functional exposure to various departments.

• Comprehensive overview of the company structure and strategy.

• Capstone presentation to leadership, showing project outcomes and recommendations.

TEAM OVERVIEW: Be a part of an exceptional team that leads Ulta Beauty’s retail process improvement initiatives by enhancing labor efficiency, optimizing internal resources, and reducing cost using a data-driven approach, while keeping our guests and associates at the center of everything they do. The face of retail is constantly changing, and this agile team is responsible for ensuring everything we expect the store teams to execute is clearly defined, documented, and communicated.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:

• Identify and implement measurable productivity improvements across key store processes

• Analyze operational workflows and recommend process enhancements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate the guest and associate experience

• Participate in ad-hoc research, time studies, testing, and documentation efforts to validate solutions and quantify impact

• Assist in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the data repositories used for labor standards and workload modeling

• Support the development of standardized tools, templates, and best practices to strengthen operational consistency and drive continuous improvement across store processes

• Contribute to cross-functional process improvement initiatives by

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

• Working knowledge of data analysis tools and lean methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various levels of leadership.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be local to Ulta Beauty Headquarters in Bolingbrook, IL.

• Must be willing and able to visit Ulta Beauty Stores for data-collection purposes.

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2026.

• Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
