<p>By combining best-in-class autonomy and cloud-connected real-time visibility, drones are becoming critical and ubiquitous infrastructure that can be deployed and monitored in real-time to solve a variety of problems faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before. As a software engineering intern, you will work on important and exciting projects as part of our Global Government engineering team.</p>
<p>An ideal intern candidate is a junior, senior, or graduate-level college student with practical project and/or internship experience developing solutions in the area of robotics or autonomy.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>This role will be based out of Boston, Massachusetts.</strong></span></p>

<li>Leverage your past experiences, best practices, and open-ended problem solving skills to help make the world more productive, creative, and safe with autonomous drones. </li>

<p><strong>Project Examples</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build and test customer-facing features to integrate Skydio products with networked systems and/or enable new use cases.</li>
<li>Develop secure, efficient, observable, scalable, and robust software for autonomous behaviors in complex real-world environments.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What makes you a good fit:</strong></p>
<ul>

<li>Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain, as required</li>
</ul>
<li>You are a junior, senior, or grad-level student with meaningful project and/or internship experience</li>
<li>Solid software engineering foundation and a commitment to writing clean, well-architected code</li>
<li>Proficiency with C++ and/or Python</li>
<li>Bonus points for experience shipping products or features within a collaborative engineering team environment</li>
<li>Bonus points for familiarity with networking or distributed systems</li>
<li>Bonus points for familiarity with robotics software development concepts or real-time networking</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Compensation Range: </strong>The hourly rate for this position is $47/hr for Undergrad and $53/hr for Graduate students* Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience.</p>
<p>*For some positions the pay may be dependent upon the individual's regional location.</p>
