About the Role

*This is an in-office, nine-week summer internship in Overland Park, KS from June 1 through July 31, 2026, and is for incoming college juniors or seniors, though preference will be given to incoming college seniors. The pay is $20 an hour. Ad Astra does not provide relocation/ housing services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with the Business Development Consultant (BDC) team to research, develop, and measure various prospect outreach campaigns 
  • Support the BDC team in daily administrative tasks 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to understand their role in the sales development process such as tracking inbound leads/lead sources, understanding which pieces of collateral are the most effective, etc. 
  • Work with sales operations to identify outdated contacts & assist in sourcing up to date contacts for target accounts 
  • Dig into all things sales data in Salesforce & Salesloft to understand our team’s “math of sales” such as engagement rates, conversion rates & other metrics 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Incoming college junior or senior
  • Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week in-person  
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage time effectively  
  • Excellent attention to detail; openness to feedback; ability to meet deadlines; willingness to continually improve competencies  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • Strong user of technology & resources to solve problems 
  • Previous sales experience (example: tickets, retail, donations/fundraising, etc.) 
  • Personal desire to pursue a sales career post-graduation
