<h3>The Position</h3><p><b><b>2026 Summer Intern - CMG Learning and Skill Development</b></b></p><p></p><p><span><b><span>Department Summary</span></b></span></p><p><span>The Learning & Skill Development (LSD) organization is crucial in establishing a digital culture and mindset across the Commercial and Medical Group (CMG), ensuring all customers—employees, managers, healthcare providers, and patients—receive timely and relevant information and skills. LSD is transforming CMG into a continuous learning culture by advancing skills management, digital learning, experiential learning, and workflow learning. The team includes learning business partners with deep business acumen, Learning Design Architects focusing on perennial and business transformation areas, and instructional designers and multimedia partners who build best-in-class learning products. LSD scales these products through facilitators, learning technologists, and an analytics function that links skill development to business impact.</span></p><p></p><p><b>This position is based in South San Francisco, CA, On-Site.</b></p><p><span><b><span>The Opportunity</span></b></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Collaborate with Learning Design partners to measure impact to inform data-driven learning content design</span></p></li><li><p><span>Implement robust data quality and governance procedures, including data cleaning and validation techniques</span></p></li><li><p><span>Apply statistical and machine learning methodologies to identify trends, patterns, and predictive insights in large datasets</span></p></li><li><p><span>Document methodologies, findings, and model performance, and present complex analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain accurate records of findings and participate in team discussions to share insights</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Program Highlights</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)</span></p></li><li><p><span>A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Who You Are (Requirements) </b></p><p><b><b>Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:</b></b></p><ul><li><p>Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).</p></li><li><p>Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).</p></li><li><p>Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Required Majors:</b></b> <span>Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related fields.</span></p><p></p><p><b><b>Required Skills: </b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Programming skills with experience in SQL, Python, or R</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Power BI)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency in data cleaning/processing and analysis</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with applying ML models</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Experience with learning analytics, including learning/performance evaluation strategy</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in RAG/Agent development</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with educational or medical data</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills</span></p></li><li><p><span>Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. </b></p><p></p><p>The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  South San Francisco, CA is $45 - $50/hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
