What does the Commodities, Food & Agriculture Team do in ING?

CF&A is one of the Wholesale Banking sectors and services a range of international commodity, food and agricultural clients. The portfolio is diverse, ranging from food companies to players in the metals and mining segment. The sector composes of three subsectors being Trade and Commodity Finance (TCF), Food Beverage and Agri (FB&A) and Metals Mining and Fertilizers (MMF), serving clients across the supply chains.

The Transaction & Regulatory team (T&R) with CF&A is looking for an intern who enjoys working in an international environment. As an intern with us, you will work closely with commercial front office colleagues and T&R colleagues in other sector teams and play a key role in supporting the delivery of banking services to our clients.

What would you be doing?

  • Collaborate closely with commercial front office colleagues to review documentation, reference data, and critical information for operational feasibility and optimal execution.

  • Monitor workflows related to Risk and Compliance, support key control testing, and assist with regulatory reporting to maintain portfolio integrity.

  • Collect and review legal loan documentation against Legal, Credit, and Regulatory approvals in accordance with bank policies. Load facility limits into internal systems.

  • Assist with customer due diligence, credit and rating review monitoring, covenant monitoring, and preparation of management reports.

  • Coordinate account opening and maintenance requests, including documentation review and liaison with Branch Operations for setup and updates.

  • Support the drafting of facility letters, reference letters, and other credit-related legal documents in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze data for accuracy and timeliness, identify gaps, and collaborate with system owners to extract and automate data processes.

  • Demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to take on new assignments and quickly learn new systems and principles.

  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written.

This is a six month full time Internship position starting from January 2026.
