<p>We are seeking a fully remote junior-level engineer or intern who is eager to learn modern cloud and DevOps practices. You will work directly with a senior platform engineer to build and support a real production platform deployed on AWS and Kubernetes. The role will involve hands-on learning and execution, starting with basic operational and configuration tasks and growing into more complex responsibilities.</p>
<p><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Key Responsibilities<br></strong>Assist with day-to-day AWS operations. Help deploy Kubernetes workloads (deployments, services, ingress, namespace organization). Perform basic troubleshooting across services and AWS resources, Document technical processesParticipate in review sessions.<br><br><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Technical Skills (Minimum Required, even if through classroom or lab projects)<br></strong>Familiarity with AWS basics (EC2, IAM, EKS, Route53). Basic Kubernetes knowledge: pods, deployments, services, container concepts. Comfortable working in Linux terminals and with basic CLI toolingAble to read YAML files.<br><br><strong data-stringify-type="bold">What You’ll Learn<br></strong>Hands-on experience with real-world AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters. Production-grade ingress, service mesh, and security fundamentals (Istio, NGINX). Identity management & authentication flowsInfrastructure automation and scaling strategies<br><br><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Ideal Candidate<br></strong>Not afraid to ask questions. Able to work autonomously under direction from senior engineers. Wants career growth in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Platform Engineering</p>
<p>This role is fully remote.</p>
<p><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Rate:</strong> $18–$20/hr </p>
<p><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Hours:</strong> 10–15 hrs/week to start</p>
<p><strong data-stringify-type="bold">Location:</strong> Fully Remote (US-based); US Citizens / Passport holders only due to government work)</p>
