About the Role

The IT Cybersecurity Intern will work with our security solution suite and monitor dashboards for patching, vulnerability, client health, and application errors.  Generate reports for failed items, issues, and errors and route them to the correct IT Teams for them to be worked on.  This position will include working with other IT Teams and performing as a liaison. Gather and disseminate Open-Source Intelligence on current threats to the Organization using threat feeds and route these to the correct IT Teams for risk assessment.  Assist with documenting common procedures in the IT Security Department.  Assist with Incident and Response escalation.

 

This internship will take place in person starting Monday, May 18, 2026 till Friday, August 7, 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for creating and running asset, vulnerability, and patch reports from security tools.
  • Route emails reports to appropriate IT Teams to be worked on.
  • Examine multiple security agent client health and when possible, repair agents using security tools.
  • Monitors of Endpoint Detection and response solutions and route issues to appropriate IT Teams.
  • Monitor IT Security Newsfeeds and relay information to the IT Security Team about emerging issues.
  • Assist in Incident Response and Investigations and escalate to appropriate IT Teams.
  • Ensures escalation procedures are followed in order to expedite incident/problem resolution or request completion.
  • Ensures constant follow-up is established with team members until issue is resolved or request is completed.
  • Document procedures, incidents/problems and requests with necessary detail.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School graduate required (Associates degree a plus) or equivalent experience.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

  • Language: Proficient in English Verbal and Written Skills (Bilingual and plus)
  • Computer Skills:
    • Software: Experienced knowledge of Windows 10, 11, Outlook, MS Office. Some knowledge of Instant Messaging and Conferencing applications, ie. Slack, MS Teams, WebEx
    • Hardware: Must have a good understanding of PC hardware and Networking components (HD/SSD, Network Cards, BIOS Settings, etc.).

  • Hands on learning experience in the IT Security technology arena
  • Learn how to work with different business units and types of personalities

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
