About the Role

HEICO is an Aerospace company that is looking for a talented summer Engineering Intern!! If you're a college student looking to gain valuable hands-on experience, knowledge, and ability to work on projects then we encourage you to apply. HEICO Internships are an 10 to 12 week program that combines on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities.

 

The Engineering Intern will assist in any number of Project and Quality Engineering normal
functions or special projects to gain experience in the field and assist in evaluation for future employment.

 

This internship will take place starting Monday, May 18, 2026 till Friday, August 7, 2026.

 

The format of this internship will be in person, full-time 40 hours per week. Monday- Friday during normal business hours.

 

Applications will be accepted until December 31, 2025. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Familiarization with engineering, quality and business procedures and systems: SPP’s, TIPQA,
    VM, etc.
  • CAD model and engineering drawing generation.
  • Part measurement using hand or automated equipment (CMM’s, VMM’s).
  • Use of scanning equipment (white light/blue light) for part measurement and qualification.
  • Generation of inspection method sheets and material test plans.
  • Specific assigned research and supplier contact, such as material properties or processing.
  • Assistance with FAA required documentation, such as development plans, design substantiation
    and design changes.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:


At least one year towards a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar Engineering Degree.

 


EXPERIENCE:


Employment, school or personal experience involving mechanical aptitude preferred (machine
shop, auto repair, etc.).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

 

  • Language/Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general relevant
    periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to
    write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Office – moderate proficiency especially with MS Excel.
  • Mathematical Skills: Commensurate with college engineering.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
    conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or
    diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to
    multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in
    handling multiple tasks. Understanding the need for urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to work in a team environment and independently.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel; talk or hear; and frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or
balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,
and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT


Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but may have some exposure
to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery /
equipment/chemicals. Occasional travel to industrial locations including aircraft and hangars.
