About the Role

The Role

As a Taxes Intern, you will support a strategic regional project focused on standardizing and documenting Clarios’ tax processes across LATAM—specifically Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and the Andean region. Your work will be essential in preserving operational knowledge, improving execution consistency, enabling smoother audits, strengthening governance, and supporting compliance with local tax regulations.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)

Process Mapping & Documentation

  • Map tax processes in each country, including Direct Taxes, Indirect Taxes, and Administrative Processes.
  • Record operational routines, workflows, input/output documentation, systems involved, and control points per jurisdiction.
  • Create clear, accessible, and updated documentation: manuals, flowcharts, SOPs, and checklists.
  • Support the organization and standardization of tax files, evidence, and audit‑relevant records.

Cross‑Functional Interaction

  • Collaborate with regional and local teams across Tax, CFS, Finance, IT, Customs, and other related areas to validate workflows and ensure accuracy.
  • Gather business insights to enrich documentation, capture variations by country, and identify opportunities for process alignment.

Risk Mitigation & Governance Support

  • Help reduce the risk of knowledge loss and execution inconsistencies by establishing a formal reference library of processes.
  • Contribute to improving traceability and transparency to support audits, team transitions, and regulatory adaptations.
  • Assist in identifying process gaps, redundancies, or risks as part of the documentation initiative.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the internship, you will have:

  • A complete repository of tax process documentation for the four LATAM jurisdictions.
  • Flowcharts, manuals, and checklists that standardize and clarify execution across the region.
  • Organized and accessible tax files and evidence supporting audit readiness.
  • Strengthened regional governance through improved process clarity and reduced risk of information gaps.
  • A sustainable documentation structure that enables training, onboarding, and operational continuity.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Communication and collaboration with multi‑country, cross‑functional teams
