POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH develops innovative transportation systems that redefine access to space for payloads and passengers. As part of our aerial refueling project, we are developing a fully autonomous formation flight capability between tanker and receiver aircraft to perform aerial refueling fully autonomously. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a working student to support our Aerial Refueling Team at our headquarters in Bremen.

Your profile

• Student in aerospace engineering or a related technical field 
• Experience with CAD programs
• Hands-on experience with test benches 
• Basic understanding of aircraft manufacturing and integration processes 
• Experience with fluid technology
• Experience with cryogenic liquids
• Solid programming skills, ideally in Python advantageous
• Excellent analytical skills and willingness to extend own expertise 
• Team player and start-up mentality

Your mission

• Responsible for developing a test bench for LOX refueling tests 
• Support in the development of a LOX-compatible docking mechanism
• Support the production and system integration of the tanker aircraft 
• Support in other areas of the aerial refueling project
• Supporting flight test campaigns
